HVAC Systems
Environment Is The Basic Support For Human Life As Well Ad Other Living Things.
You can see that as per the environmental changes, birds and animals are also changing their territory. A comfortable environment is to be maintained to live. In summer season one should get comfort with cool surrounding. The same way cold climate is to be overcome by a hot surrounding. This is achieved by heating the rooms in winter and air-conditioning the rooms in summer. For this type of job there is a profession known as HVAC. HVAC system stands for Heating Ventilation and Air-conditioning. This is also sometimes called as climate control as it actually controls the environment inside the rooms and makes the rooms comfortable to stay. Sometimes refrigeration is also added to these services. Then this comes to be known as HVAC&R.
From the acronym itself it can be well understood that this service is the combination of heating ventilation and air-conditioning. Hence they are very closely interlaced in this service. The HVAC systems are used to provide comfortable air temperature inside. So to make the room comfortable the ventilation also has to be very efficient. Ventilation is all about how air is delivered and removed from the room. This is also sometimes referred to as room air distribution. In modern buildings the air distribution system heating system and their control system are integrated in one or more HVAC systems.
The heating in this system are achieved either by central heating for large buildings and local heating systems for small buildings. But whatever the heating system, the rooms are usually cooled by convection current. The heated water or air is circulated under the flooring or the walls of the rooms. The walls get heated up and heats up the room by convection air current. Some other systems incorporate blower fans to blow the warm air into the room and sucker fans to extract the cold and used air from the room. The systems where radiators are used the radiators are kept near the windows to avoid condensation.
Ventilation is the exchange of the indoor air with the external air. This is particularly important as; if the internal air is blocked inside the room then the air becomes stale and unhygienic. There are two types of ventilation natural and forced ventilation. In the ventilation systems it is particularly important to filter the incoming air for bacteria. Care should also be taken so that the air used up one room does not get mixed up with the air of other room.
The air conditioning system is the combination of heating, cooling, ventilation and dehumidifier. The air conditioned air is generally taken from the condenser unit to the rooms by either ducts or pipelines.
