For Making The Home So Comfortable, HVAC System Is Used.

The HVAC system is sometimes called as a climate control because it gives a comfortable atmosphere, which is not too cool and not so warm inside the rooms. In some cases we want to cool the room’s climate and in some other cases we want to heat the room atmosphere. HVAC is mainly used for such applications. Heating Ventilation and Air-conditioning system is more useful in winter and summer. HVAC&R is also used in several areas. In HVAC&R, refrigeration system is added with the Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning system. In case of a small building the HVAC system comes individually. But in the case of big buildings, various specialized engineers are there for crafting the HVAC system with the plan of the building. In some places the electrical and plumbing are also included in these services. Different types of ducts are used in the HVAC system.

For efficiently heating or cooling rooms for large building, central HVAC systems are used. In this the heated air or water are circulated through the radiators placed in the walls or floors. For transferring the heated air or water ducts are used to connect the radiators to the central furnace. These ducts are used for delivering and taking out air to and from the different rooms either by natural ventilation or by forced ventilation. These ducts are usually made out of galvanized sheets and are either rectangular or round in shape. The ducts are usually lined inside by fiber glass insulation pads. This fiber glass insulation pad reduces the temperature loss and also dams out the vibration of the systems. Earlier the ducts where made of tin as tin is more corrosion resistant than steel. But with the invention of better mild steel which are less prone to corrosion the ducts now are usually fabricated from galvanized mild steel.

In some cases flexible ducts are also used. Particularly for HVAC system the flexible ducts are made of plastic rolled over wire mesh thus giving it a type of rigidity. These flexible ducts are generally used to connect the main system to the main duct system. The pressure loss in the flexible ducts is more compare to the steel ducts. So these flexible ducts are generally used for short length to avoid the pressure loss. Care should also be taken to not bend the flexible ducts. Flexible ducts should not be used in negative pressure areas.
